Key Point: Your receipt data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to your financial information.

Information We Collect

ReceiptVault collects and stores the following information:

• Receipt Data: Merchant names, amounts, dates, categories, and notes that you manually enter into the app.

• Photos: Images of receipts that you choose to attach to your entries.

• User Preferences: Your app settings, theme preferences, budget amounts, and notification preferences.

• Profile Information: Name and email (optional) that you provide for your profile.

What We Don't Collect: We do not collect or have access to your bank account information, credit card numbers, or any financial account credentials.

How Your Data is Stored

Your data is stored in the following ways:

• Local Storage: All your receipt data is stored locally on your device.

• iCloud Sync (Optional): If you enable iCloud Sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service. This allows you to sync data across your devices.

• Household Sharing (Optional): If you use the Household Sharing feature, selected data is shared with family members you invite through iCloud.

We do not store your data on our servers. All cloud storage is handled through Apple's iCloud infrastructure, which is protected by Apple's security measures and your Apple ID credentials.

Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously:

• Face ID / Touch ID: The app supports biometric authentication to protect access to your data.

• On-Device Storage: Your data is stored securely on your device using iOS security features.

• iCloud Security: When using iCloud Sync, your data is protected by Apple's encryption and security protocols.

• No Third-Party Access: We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data Sharing

• Household Members: If you enable Household Sharing, your receipt data will be shared with family members you explicitly invite.

• Export Feature: You can choose to export your data to CSV format, which you control and can share at your discretion.

We Never: Sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for marketing purposes.

In-App Purchases

ReceiptVault offers a Pro upgrade as a one-time in-app purchase. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information.

Children's Privacy

ReceiptVault is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Data Deletion

You have full control over your data:

• Delete Individual Receipts: You can delete any receipt at any time within the app.

• Delete All Data: You can delete all your data from the Settings screen.

• Uninstall App: Deleting the app will remove all locally stored data.

• iCloud Data: To delete iCloud data, you can disable iCloud Sync in the app or manage your iCloud storage through iOS Settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
